|For this type of ship (longer than 20 m), the minimum electronics required for navigation is two mariphones (VHF radio with ATIS function), one AIS class A as anti-collision system and one GPS (eventually including an electronic navigation chart system).I uninstalled everything before renewing the roef. |A small chart table is installed at the entrance of the roof, at one step from the helm. A larger chart table is also available (at right side of the first picture).
The two VHF radios (“marifoon”) are installed on the top. The GPS, the AIS and the computer are installed on the table.
I am using OpenCPN as navigation software with the so called oeSENC vector charts and some other useful software.
